Jeanne Davis has been a competitor-student of classical dressage for over 20 years; also an active competitor in Combined Training for over 30 years. She successfully competed her Advanced mare, Iceal, to the level where they were long-listed for the Sydney Olympic Games. In the 2008 Season, Jeanne competed her Third Level dressage horse Wurdig, aka Wraptor. And her new (and exciting) Event horse, WHO's Balthazar (who last ran at Belmont two years ago). There are presently four 4 year old fillies and geldings in training to be broken, rehabilitated for a new career (other than racing), and ready to be competed in dressage, combined training, and in the jumper rings. In addition, there are exciting yearlings growing up, one out of Jeanne's MidAtlantic Horse Rescue mare Cautionary (and by a VERY striking and useful Appaloosa stallion), the other by Rivano, by Riverman out of a half Andalusian mare also out of jumper stock. The sucklings for this year are both by the very nice Holsteiner Stallion Coromino, by Corofino. Each horse is carefully and individually trained and handled by Jeanne. There are no riding assistants. Each is traditionally and classically broken to be trained, and then branched off into the particular specialty of each individual. Available horses can be viewed on our Horses page. Jeanne Davis teaches dressage and combined training at her farm, and at the farms of others in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. The emphasis is on an effective working partnership between horse and rider -- from Introductory to Three Day. The integrity of both horse and rider are appreciated, and the goals of each rider are evaluated and achieved. It is important that each horse and rider combination are realistically and systematically elevated through their training. The results in the 2008 Season with each combination have been positive and rewarding. In addition to her own competition and teaching schedule, Jeanne also judges at unrecognized Dressage Shows (Rye Fox West), and Events (Olde Hope Farm, and Fair Hill Horse Trials). Wind Horse Offering is host on a regular basis to world reknowned, classically trained, Jean Paul Pare'. It is attended by R judges, and local riders, and is also open to auditors. Reservations and schedule are available by contacting Jeanne.
